Entity EJB Generation

When using the Entity EJB Generation tool (CMP Container), I notice that there is no Date object to select when add CMP Fields.

Is this a bug, or by design?

The spec doesn't support Dates (well, the QL mapping doesn't), even though most servers support it. It's recommended that you use longs instead. So I suppose IDEA is just trying to be helpful ;)

The spec does support Dates, so I think the Entity generation should as well (well the developer should have the choice).

Agree about QL not supporting Dates, a large oversight in my opinion.

Enter 'java.util.Date' as CMP field type when creating cmp field and you are done.
Does it work for you ?

Yes that works fine, my question was mainly whether the java.util.Date should be an item in the list.

Agree that it is only a small thing and hardly a showstopper.

Thanks.

Well i know that  when we want to set the type of a particular field we type the package and class, but why it don´t show at first time, we i must loose time typing all name of class, i remember that is previous version its work fine
