Resin JSP Debugging

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone was successfully debugging JSP pages with
resin 2.1.x and Idea 684.

I have tried the resin pluggin in 684 but could not get it show in the
wwebapp dialog.

If anyone is successfully debugging jsp pages with resin, I'd really
appreciate a quick outline of how you did it.

Thanks in advance.

I've done it and it works quite well.

The trick is that the jar file needs to be in the
plugins/resinIntegration/lib directory. Otherwise it won't work.

How about the resin.conf settings? I still cannot work.
It just won't break and go back to IDEA.

I can't see how a different resin.conf setting will make breakpoints
work. The breakpoints doesn't work really well, because the mapping
between line numbers in the JSP-file and the generated servlet doesn't
work well. For some lines Resin simply doesn't generate any line mapping
code
(this includes lines with jsp-tags or taglib tags).

The only thing that might influence breakpoint handling in resin.conf is
that
the compiler should be configured to generate debugging info and resin must
be configured to put generated servlet code in WEB-INF/work (this is the
default
setting)

This thread is from over a year ago :)

Dunno if resin plugin works with 4.0. Try the new JSR45 compatible
server settting.
