library settings documentation?
Hello,
I would like information about the settings for libraries in Aurora.
I have added some libraries with "Add Global Library" on the Order tab (why
there?)(Main module, default project properties).
I was hoping that this would allow me to use these libraries in any of my
projects. But it doesn't.
What else do I need to do?
I don't want to add them to my normal project properties, because someone
else who use this project should be able to have his libraries on a
different location.
What is exactly this functionality of global libraries for?
And what about project libraries? How is that different than adding them to
the Libraries tab?
What are named libraries?
Why is there not something simple like project properties and global
properties like in Visual Studio, Delphi, etc...
Hope you can help me :)
Robert.

(why
This is work in progress and is under reconstruction.
When you "configure" entries in the "add global library" dialog, the
configuration is stored with the other ideas config settings. These
libraries are available to every project.
When you choose entries in the "add global library" and press ok, links are
created in your project file to the global libraries.
to the Libraries tab?
In project libs, lib configuration is stored with the project file. Plus: no
need to define them in each instance of idea. Minus: can't share them
between projects.
A name under which several jars/sources/docs can be grouped and handled as a
single library.
All post related to EAP releases should be posted in the EAP forums... this
way, you're more likely to be helped by both fellow community members and
JetBrains developers working on the EAP projects.

Also, as I noticed, do not post the same questions in multiple-forums, as it
splits up threads ... keep it in one place.
