6.01 impossibly slow on a large project

Does anyone else have a problem that after upgrading to 6.01 from 6.00 it IMPOSSIBLY slow. I have a project of about 1 000 000 lines of code and phpstorm became literally unusable. It needs _seconds_ to close a bracket. There must be some background task running (not indexing) as I see it giving almost a 100% CPU load. Such a pity.

Well... seems like it was running some very weird SVN background task. ALL files are marked with "S" now for whatever reason. I have a lot of restoring to do. Major fail for phpstorm

This may be of use to you: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1866504/status-s-in-subversion.  Sorry to drive-by-link to another website but it explains it better than I could summarize :p

Thanks for the link! I do switch branches often (just like anyone doing serious software development does), and PHPStorm prior to 6.0.1 was totally okay with this. But this time I had to totally disable VCS support in order to be able to work... something is seriously wrong there.

That's fair enough, but I don't know many people that switch branches partially very often.  I'd expect if they switch, they switch the entire working copy over, not select files.  SVN is the tool that's marking them all as 'S', not PhpStorm; PhpStorm is just processing them all and saying "Hey, these files are different than the others."  Not saying it shouldn't be able to maybe handle that better, I just honestly don't know anyone that uses that sort of "partial switching" feature myself :p  Usually it's an all or none thing in my experience, but your mileage may vary I suppose.

Hm... I cannot recall doing a partial switch lately ;-) usually switch the whole branch. However, phpstorm might be running at that time. This is what might have caused the problem in the first place. I will try to replicate this behaviour. Thanks for your feedback!
