intelliJ uses too much memory

Hi guys,

Accourding to docu the maximum usage of memory by idea is defined by the
following line in idea.lax:

lax.nl.java.option.additional=-Xms16m -Xmx128m -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true -Di
dea.system.path="..
system" -Didea.config.path="..
config" -Didea.popup.we
ight=heavy

there can be a plus of 30 mb for the JVM itself. well in my environment idea
is up to 200 mb although the internal
memory display (right bottom border) produces only 127.

any ideas on how to get the memory usage down would be appreciated

mike

What JVM are you using? We have found that in 1.4.1 on Windows,
especially 1.4.1_02, the OS memory size can become huge relative to the
max heap size. We have not figured out what causes this.
