compiling JSPs

I have a problem with the compile JSP feature since the day it was
first implemented in IDEA. I have web applications configured, I have
set the checkbox "validate on make" for each web application but the
only thing I can do is select a single JSP and select "compile" from
the context menu. I never managed to get them validated during a
"rebuild" or "make" automatically. Anybody else with the same problem?
Or maybe an idea for a solution of this problem?

I have the same problem, even when I "compile" the jsp's individually, it always says it is successful and does not seem to do any validation whatsoever.

There are some bugs fixed in this area in #650, and some important bugfixes
(concerning compilation of JSPs that use taglibs) will appear in #651.
However I don't understand why the jsps are not validated automatically when
everything necessary is configured.
Could you please create a small test project that illustrates the problem
and send the whole project directly to me?
Thanks for your time in advance.
