Which license to choose?

Hi, I've read this forum and licencing part of website, but I'm unsure, which license should I choose, so I'm asking you here, just to be sure I don't have any licensing problems.

I'm a freelancer and I also work in a company as employee. I want to use phpStorm for both my independent work and as an employee. I want to buy this product on my own and I will not be reimbursed in any way for this purchase.

I'm wondering, if personal license will be sufficient for this or if I should buy a commercial license. Personal license makes more sence to me, but as I said before, I want to be absolutely sure of this, because I don't want to cause any problems to me or the company I'm employed at.

Thank you in advance.

I have a similar issue though I'm not employed by a company. I'm a freelance programmer so officially the software is used in my company but I'm the only person using it, I work from home and I don't hire other programmers.

When I read the licensing policy it feels to me like I should be getting a commercial license but on the other hand it feels unfair to me to have to pay twice as much while I'm still the only one using it, so I'm wondering if it's OK to get the personal license as long as I don't get the VAT reimbursed or put it on expenses.

So I'm keeping an eye on this thread as well.

Hi there,

From License Comparison Matrix at http://www.jetbrains.com/phpstorm/buy/license-matrix.jsp

Personal license
Private individuals using their own funds for purchase. Personal licenses purchased or reimbursed by a company are invalid.

Personal license fits your requirements since you are paying your OWN money and company will NOT reimburse it. Obviously, only you  (and nobody else) can use it.
