PHPUnit troubles: Local Win7 works, remote Linux not

Hey all,

I have PHPUnit working on my local Windows 7 workstation with a standalone install of PHP5.4.10 VC9.  I have PHPUnit installed on a remote LAMP server that we use for our development environment, this is where difficulty ensues.  I am able to run PHPUnit from the command line on the remote LAMP server.  My hope is someone with this setup can explain/exemplify how the setup of such should be.

At the preset, I am getting "Unable to attach test reporter to test framework or test framework quit unexpectedly" and am at a loss for how to remedy this error.

Thanks so much!

Hi Ryan,

PhpStorm supports 2 types of PHPUnit Run/Debug Configurations (Run | Edit Configuration...)

1) PHPUnit -- this is to execute PHPUnit tests on the same computer and OS where PhpStorm is running. Such tests will be run in CLI mode

2) PHPUnit on Server -- this is to execute PHPUnit tests on remote computer via web interface (e.g. http://myserver.dev/tests/bla-bla...)

PhpStorm does not support SSH console and therefore cannot execute commands on remote computer in CLI mode (as you can do in terminal/console).

At the preset, I am getting "Unable to attach test reporter to test framework or test framework quit unexpectedly" and am at a loss for how to remedy this error.

What Run/Debug configuration do you use? Is this happening on local or remote computer?
