Deployment within Git(hub) Projekts

Hello everyone,

i was wondering if it's possible to use the deployment features when working on a Git(hub) project.

I need to store my files on a Github account, so i can work on my projects from several places. However i also need to push the projects onto a staging server to see if things are actually working on the final setups.

But trying to do this (having set up multiple Deployment Options), all of the deployment features appear to be greyed out.

Is there any way to reactivate them on Github projects?

thanks in advance

Hi Manuel,

Do you mean deployment by (S)FTP?
You can set up 'Upload after commit':http://clip2net.com/s/2AUP2 so changed files are deployed after you commit them.

But trying to do this (having set up multiple Deployment Options), all of the deployment features appear to be greyed out.

Didn't get it, could you bring a screenshot?

Thanks,
Kirill

Ah okay, i didn't even notice the option there.

What i mean by greyed out, i was talking about the Deployment features of "Tools -> Deployment", those are unavailable to me inside a GitHub Project.

I will check out the Upload after Commit stuff tomorrow, as i will need to upload manually, too, not just files that i commit, others, too. I will report back though!
