Find in path scope

hi,

usually I do searches in my project using "Find in path" with scope set to "Whole project".
Now sometimes the scope get magically switched to "Directory", and I usually notice that because I don't get the expected results and have to initiate another search.
Is this behaviour by design?

Hi there,

Which version do you have exactly (Help | About).

I have seen such behaviour in the past .. but checking this in PhpStorm 3.0.2 (build 111.296) and I'm unable to reproduce it. Maybe there are some specific actions (like, edit & save file etc) that need to be taken in order to reproduce this behaviour?

That is by design, IDEA always remembers last used scope when no specific scope can be chosen from the context.

I'm using 3.0.2 (111.296), but I've noticed that at least since 3.0 beta, maybe even before. I haven't figured out the prerequisites either, it just happens like every 5th search or so.

But I never change the scope. I always use "Whole project". I just don't want Webstorm to change it.

This is still the case with latest 5.0. I think its quite annying that I have to change the scope to "Whole project" everytime.
