miss icons in structure php window

Hello together,
I miss the icon-head-group in the structure PHP window.
Maybe I did something wrong, so I don't like to write a youtrack issue.

I'm looking for the icons in the head ov the "structure PHP window". Before I've got a view icons like in the documentation:
documentation.png
There was an second head-group in documentation named as "Toolbar" with "collaps All", "expand All", "show inherited", "show constants",.....
I can't find a solution in the preferences, the documentation, in the "youTrack-Section", or in this forum. No possibility to hide/unhide this Toolbar-head.

Now, there are only 2 icons in the upper head for "collaps All", "show All", I miss eminently the icon "show inherited".
myHeadInEAP_121.62.png
I can select it in the menu that pop up when I click the gear-wheel, but this are allways two click's with move the mose to the right line. So it's not really fluently.

Maybe I did something wrong in the preferences. But I can't remenber to change something there. Maybe it's an change in the EAP-Line. But than I will write an Bug/Feature-Issue. It would be a drawback without this icons....
But before, I would ask in the community-forum. Maybe someone has the solution...

cheers
Martin

I agree and miss the icons too. The new method sucks. Place a link to your issue here and I'll vote for it.

Hi there,

As far as I'm aware it's a continuation of user interface redesign (to make it more modern/compact/etc -- in PhpStorm v4  AFAIK only Project View was affected) -- all icons/options (except some commands -- collapse/expand all in this particular example) were moved into cog icon menu -- that's the only way to access them now (unless, maybe, you can assign shortcuts to them...)

As for documentation -- it will be updated when v5 will be released (as it should be -- documentation follows official release, not EAP).

That may be be true, but based upon what? Did they gather user feedback for this? It's a real pain to use and I'd like the option of having the icons back.

There is an YouTrack Issue for this matter:

http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/WI-12749

Please vote for it. I'm sure, sometimes a cod-menu can clean up a GUI, but only if there is not enough space for a better more helpfull solution. Than you have advantage to give MORE features with a submenu. But submenu for it own is alltime a drawback in the workflow.
Why you create new space for nothing? OK, it looks maybe more compact. But I'm sure there is enough space for both. Clean and compact, maybe modern GUI
AND
the Icons for an easier workflow, for developers which prefer faster workflow than a more compact GUI.

So don't create drawbacks and sold it for a better, more compact and more modern solution.
It is still a drawback for developer they look for a fast workflow.

Cheers
Martin
