Code hints / pop-ups don't appear in the right place (multiple monitors)

Hi,

Im just testing this at the moment, and it looks great so far with one exception. The code hint popups are appearing in totally the wrong place!

My setup:

Ubuntu 12.04
Left monitor: 1280x1024
Right monitor: 1600x1200 (used as primary monitor)

I have PhpStorm running on the right monitor and the code hint popups appear on the right edge of the left monitor (and not inline). If I put PhpStorm (or one of the code windows) on the left monitor the code hints work fine on that monitor. It seems to be a resolution / multiple monitor issue. I tried PhpStorm before on Windows 7 with these same monitors and had no issues.

Any ideas / suggestions ?

Thanks,
Tom

HI, I have a similar setup with the exact same issue - 2x monitors (1920x1080), Ubuntu 12.04, PhpStorm running in the monitor on the right-hand side. Code hints appear on the right-hand side of the left monitor, and dialogs pop up on the left monitor. I'd like everything to appear on the monitor that PhpStorm is running in.

This is the only issue stopping me from purchasing a license, so any ideas on how to solve this would be great!

Hi there,

I suggest checking the Issue Tracker for any existing tickets for the similar issues (I'm pretty positive you will find a few). If nothing found, then please submit new ticket.

For example (after very quick search):

Hi

There are indeed several bug reports in the issue tracker related to this, but none seem to have an ETA on a fix. There is mention of a workaround which involve setting up Xinerama (which I cannot get working on my system), but no other solutions are mentioned. Can you provide an ETA for a fix for this issue? $99 is a lot of money to spend on a program with such an obvious and annoying (IMO) bug!

Thanks

Hi there,

I have no idea on ETA unfortunately -- you can ask developers in one of those tickets.

Unfortunately we are unable to provide an ETA.

No worries, thanks both for your replies!
