Editor is locked

I just downloaded WebStorm and am attempting to create a sample project. I started a project (I asked for HTML Boilerplate) and got a number of directories along with a stubbed out index.html. When I attempt to type into index.html, nothing happens. I can't type into the file; I can't paste to the file; I can't delete from the file. Nothing. The editor does show the line of the file where the cursor is located by coloring it yellow. But that's about all. What did I do to lock the editor, and how do I unlock it? The same thing happens when I create a new html file. Again, I can't edit it.

Thanks.

I closed WebStorm and re-opened it. Now I can type into the editor.

I entered the map code from your help page: Create and Run your first Web Project.

I'm confused about the Run > Run command. Nothing happens. It seems that I can get the page to display in a browser if I use View > Open IN Browser. But what is Run > Run supposed to do?

Thanks.
