Problems with xdebug since version 2.1.3 (even 2.2 RC)

Hello,

I have problems using PhpStorm with xdebug version greater than 2.1.2. On some sites (seems to be quiete different from session to session) I get server timeouts and page breaks. In my tests I found out that it seems to be repoducable when php connection is closed by an exit() call. I can perfectly step into my script and go through each function but when php script ends my local site is redirected to its www-part (eg. my script is called by fmp.local/index.php?eid=xxx will be redirected to www.fmp.local... which is not defined).

My settings:
Apache/2.2.22 (Win32)
PHP 5.3.8
Xdebug greater than 2.1.2 (eg 2.1.3)
PhpStorm 116.10

Hope anyone can help me!

Cheers,
Nicole

I'm using IIS 7.x instead of Apache ... and so far have not seen anything like that (for me IIS is much more stable for debugging PHP code than Apache ... plus the final code will run under IIS anyway).

Hi, Nicole,

I can confirm that the issue exist on Win32 with Xdebug 2.1.3, 2.1.4. Do you have any progress here?
I'll try to contact with Xdebug author and hope it will help us to solve the issue ASAP.

Thank you for feedback!

Nicole,

I reported the issue to Xdebug issue tracker - http://bugs.xdebug.org/view.php?id=815
I hope it will be fixed soon. It seems that Xdebug 2.2.0RC1 is unstable too (http://bugs.xdebug.org/view.php?id=813, http://bugs.xdebug.org/view.php?id=814).
Please downgrade to Xdebug 2.1.2.

Thank you for feedback!

Thank you so much. So lets see what the bug report for Xdebug will bring. As long as there isn't any other solution I stay with 2.1.2.

Dear Nikolay,

I'm still not that happy with the version 2.2.0 and changed back to 2.1.2. After few times stopping the debug process (because of failures which were found) the complete output gets broken and only a white page is submitted. After stopping the xdebug process (removing the cookie vaiable) every is fine again. For a new debug process I have to restart PHP to get any output again.
