How to import files into a project?

I have a project that is based on an SVN repository. I have a few files that I was testing on another non-svn server that I would now like to add to the project and commit to SVN. Is there a way to get the files from the FTP remote server (they are visible in the remote server browser if that helps) into my SVN project?

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Is it possible to do this from within PHPStorm? Right now, I can see the file listed, in the Remote Server view, but thats it.

As far as I can tell, using the method you mentioned I have to use an FTP application to download the file then use Explorer to copy the file to the project directory, then restart PHPStorm, and add the file to the project. This is lacking at least two features that seem fairly standard for other IDE's - the ability to download files, and the ability to import (browse to and copy into the project folder) external files. Am I just not seeing how to do these things in PHPStorm?

Hi I am newbie to phpstorm.

I have a very large website which is mirrored on on my C Drive. Contains, PHP, JS etc

How do I get phph storm to pick up all the files/subdirectories recursively - since its my local host I do not mind PHP sitting on top of it to help me debug.

Thanks

Hello Philip,

If I understand your case correctly, you can attach your web site root directory as content root. See 'Project Settings' -> 'Directories'.

Thank you for feedback!
