Where is Reload from Disk option?

Hi,

The help says that I can revert changes by selecting File | Reload from Disk but I can't see this option in 3.0.  Where is it, or how do I enable it?

Thanks,

Rob.

Hi Rob,

Can you please provide the link to web-based help page (or path to such topic if bundled help was used) where it says that?

Here is the link:

I found it with a google search for : 'phpstorm 3.0 "reload from disk"' but the built in help says the same thing.

TBH I've never seen such action present in File menu and it is not available via Help | Find Action.

I do see such "Reload from Disk" action available under "Other" in "Settings | Keymap" .. but none in menu (Settings | Menus and Toolbars).

Maybe, just maybe, it is referring to situation where file opened in PhpStorm but was changed outside, so when you activating PhpStorm it asking you what to do (such behaviour is configurable). But then -- why it's referring to it via File menu?

No worries.  Maybe it is a phantom option.  :)

The reason I started looking into it was that I've been doing a lot of global search and replaces which seemed to result in a large number of File Cache Conflict messages appearing even though I wasn't aware of any changes on the disk, which is a local drive so shouldn't be a problem AFAIK.  I was wondering if anybody else has had a similar experience...

Thanks,

Rob.

File Cache Conflict

Never experienced myself. Try "File | Invalidate Caches ..." (note: this will also empty Local History and Shelved Changes (?), in case you are using such functionality).

IDEA-79945 Obsolete "File | Reload from Disk" command is still present in docs.
