"Thank you for evaluating PhpStorm, your licence expires in 2 days"

I've been running the EAP's right from the very beginning.

Last year I bought a licence, but never used it because I was always keen to get the new features.  ( this one in particular http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/issue/WI-553 )

My license expired in May and I've continued running the EAPs.  There has always been a new one out before the EAP license expired.

With the release of PS-107.307 the other day I expected that the "evaluation license" would be extended another month as usual.

But the warnings didnt go away.

Im getting warnings saying:
---------------------------------------
Thank you for evaluating JetBrains PhpStorm
Your evaluation license expires in 2 days

For more information on how to upgrade your evaluation software please go to http://jetbrains.com/phpstorm/buy/
---------------------------------------

Is there going to be a new EAP out in the next 2 days?  Or does everyone who is on the evaluation license have to go buy a license now?

( I was planning to wait until http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/issue/WI-553 is included before considering stopping using the EAP's )

Thanks

All 2.1.1 EAP and release builds share trial with 2.1 release.

3.0 EAP will be started in a week or two.

You should be able to use your license in 2.1.1 *release* build if it is expired after 19 May.

Thanks Alexey,

Im not sure i understand it, but i have entered my license details and PhpStorm started up.

When i look in HELP->REGISTER-> license.  it says "Entitled for free updates and upgrades untl May 28, 2011"

Which to me should mean it shouldnt start, but it does.

Thanks very much.  I didnt get any warnings on startup this time.

Everyting is correct.

"PhpStorm license is permanent and includes one year of free product upgrades since the purchase date, including even major version upgrades."

The bugfix updates (the ones with 3 numbers i.e. 2.0.1, 2.1.1) are always free for users eligible for the corresponding major builds.

"includes one year of free upgrades."

Yeah, thats the bit im not understanding.  MY one year was from 28 May 2010 ~ 28 May 2011.  Its expired.

(Shouldn't be complaining about it still working though.....)

note the word MAJOR in that quote.

the explanation was the next sentence:

The bugfix updates (the ones with 3 numbers i.e. 2.0.1, 2.1.1) are always free for users eligible for the corresponding major builds.

==if you were eligible  at the moment of 2.0 release and now expired you getting all 2.x.x updates but not 3.0+

ah, didnt realize that.  Thanks.

I deleted my .WebIde10 folder on the first upgrade of EAP's after the 2.0 release because i couln't run those EAP's because my license had expired.

Thanks for the clarification.
