Any way to see which files have changed? (no VCS)

Hi all: This is likely a stupid question, but I've only been using PHPStorm for a couple days, and have not yet read all the documentation.

I have a local copy of a project that I'm working on, and am updating the server via FTP.  No version control is being used.  So I make changes to a few of the local files, and want to upload them to the server. Is there any way to see which files I've changed locally so I can upload only them?

Select project root (or any other folder/file in question) in project view and open Version control | Local History | Show history. Or invoke VCS quicklist on it (Alt-~ then 7)
BTW, Built-in FTP client has optional support for automatic upload of changes only.
Also, its quite easy to issue local Git init and got nice and easy local source control repository with proper IDE integration.

Hello Bill,

I have to repeat the first answer: currently deployment subsystem (plugin) does not support showing the list of files that will be uploaded, you need to use local history or version contol means to get it.

However, if all you need is to skip unchanged files from uploading, uncheck 'Overwrite up-to-date files' option at File | Settings | Deployment | Options pane and PhpStorm will skip them for you (basing on a last modified timestamp). Then you can get a list of transferred files at File Transfer console.

right click on file in the project file list, a popup menu appears towards the bottom there is an item labeled "local history" that opens with more options.  The very first one is  "show history"  This will show all of the tracked changes for the history of the file.  If these options are not available to you then I don't think there is an available way to see changes.

If the option is there, when you see a change that you want to revert to you can revert the entire file so it gets overwritten, you can read about the options and what you can do in the help.

thanks for your answer. a nice feature of the changelist is: deploy. you weren't able to deploy over a local history, right?
