File Templates: Possible to auto place cursor like Live Templates?

I have customized several of the Templates and wondered if there is a way to auto place the cursor like you can with Live Templates?   I tried the $END$ variable but that doesn't work and I don't see any way to create a variable that auto places the cursor aka carret.

Thanks.

No. And personally I see no real reason for such variable for File Templates. How often (compared to Live Template) do you use "New File" action and do you start typing straight away (not even a second delay) after file was created?

Any way -- feel free to post a Feature request on Issue Tracker if you need such variable.

I have a lot of Comments added to the top of the templates I setup and it is annoying to have to manually scroll below or position the cursor manually to where I want it to actually begin typing.
I actually create files using the New File feature and begin typing in it right away, quite a lot.   When you have a template already setup it would be really handy to have the cursor already postioned and waiting.

I guess I use the IDE a bit different than you do, nothing wrong with that.

Thanks.
