CVS - Ignore...how is it doing this?

When I select an Unversioned file in PHPStorm and choose Ignore, how is it doing that? It is not doing it via a .cvsignore file, as far as I can tell.

Why not? It appears to be using some non-standard method that only PHPStorm recognizes. That makes that feature useless. We use multiple CVS clients (not one does all that we need, see my bug reports and feature requests.) So, if I Ignore it in PHPStorm, I still see it as a new, unversioned file in SmartCVS and other clients.
