Code analysis is terribly slow

Hello!
At one of our workstations, the code analysis is unbelievable slow. After opening a JSP file with about 800 lines / 28 KBytes, it takes minutes until the marker bar on the right shows error/warning colors and finally the status indicator gets any color.

It is a 1.5 Ghz PC with IDEA 4.5.2 (#2244) running with 256MB RAM assigned.
The Windows Task Manager shows that IDEA only consumes 2% CPU while analysing.

Any suggestions, e.g. to give that background task higher priority?

That most probably means disk operations are slow on that machine. We do
not reduce priorities of the background error analyzing in any way so 26%
only means it constantly getting something from the disk in the mean time.

Hello Maxim!
Thanks for your answer. However, it is not 26% (twenty-six), but actually 2% (two).
I would not say that that disk is slow in general. The disk access indicator (LED) does not flicker at all in that time.
It is as if IDEA wouldn't do anything at all, although having pressed "F2".

Edy

Anyway, I'd suggest trying upcoming version 5.0 EAP, which can be found at
