Accessing projects from different machines

Hi,

I have a Linux server machine that has a SDK installed and tomcat. I'm trying to create a project on my home account on the Linux machine from a Mac with Intellij installed. I've created the project in my home directory on the Mac (/mount/xyz) and I've pointed the project at the installed SDK on the Linux box (I've have a mounted drive called /mount/java_home)..this gives me an error suggesting the SDK is corrupt...any ideas why?

My ultimate aim is to have one storage space for all my projects ie the Linux server and then be able to access this from, Windows, Linux and Mac machines on my network...should I be able to do this? Should I be aiming to share the same libraries on the server too? ie the SDK and tomcat?

Thanks

DF
