Linux - how to create desctop shortcut

Answered

Hi, can you tell me please what am I doing wrong? I tried to create shortcut for PhpStorm via Tools->Create desctop entry->enter but

1. If I did not check all users it does not create anything (also I restart system)

2. If I check all users it creates shortcut but after click on it it starts to run installation process.

What should I do to create this base functionality?

Thnaks.

Hi,

Depends on your linux distrib. Here's how a shortcut generally should be configured:

I have Linux Mint 18 and I am total newbie on Linux. So I cant find jetbrains-phpstorm.desctop.

I have a dialog for laucher properties and there is a command which is executed after click.

There is "/home/camo/PhpStorm-145.1616.3/bin/phpstorm.sh" %f

It looks ok except that %f at the end.

EDIT: But as I see it is the same command as you have on screenshot.

Ok now  it works. I clicked on shortcut ->accepted conditions -> filled access key again -> enter and then on next click on short cut it works. It is quite weird... So I have it. Thanks.
