Why is Refactor->Extract->Method greyed out?

So, at some point, and I can't give a rigorous description as to exactly when, this stopped working for me in ALL versions of AppCode, I have both the released version, and the latest EAP.

Normally, in any IntelliJ-based IDE, or in ReSharper, I select a bunch of code, right-click, click on 'Refactor->Extract->Method, and it pulls the code out, lets me configure the signature, and makes a method.

On AppCode, the 'Extract' menu option has been greyed out from some time now, all versions I have installed, on all my machines (I have 4 Macs, between work and home).

Is this broken?   Or is there some issue with my settings, when being migrated from previous versions of AppCode, or...what?

Don,

the possible reason could be your current version of XCode. Please, check it up. Currently AppCode requires XCode 7.2.

It's 7.2.1 on all Mac's, and the behavior is identical on all of them.  So I take it this is not a known thing?

So, is it possible it's something in my user profile?   How do I blow my profile away, to get AppCode to think it's an utterly fresh install?

Don,

that is incorrect behavior. So, you can submit a ticket here https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/OC  and describe the issue in details.
