Connecting to Sql Server 2008 or others

Hi all, I'm new in Intellij Idea, can any one explain me the steps that i have to do to connect to the Sql Server 2008 or latter!?... I'm having 2 problems:

1.- When the server doesn't have windows authentification and

2.- When it have authentification, I have the next Exception:  The server version is not supported. The target server must be SQL Server 2000 or later.

So, i don't know what I did wrong.

 

Note: Both test were in different pc. This is the reason what I have 2 troubles.

 

Please help!.

Please clarify what exact issue do you have in this case?

Please attach screenshots with your connection settings, screenshot with the error and idea.log after IDE restart and reproducing the problem. Thank you.

P.S. please also check this thread for a possible way to connect to MS SQL Server with Windows Domain authentication.
