Editing Non-Project files

Hi,

I regularly edit SQL files that come from several different places, why does DataGrip always prompt me as to whether I want to edit the file? I like that I can set it for the current session, but it would be good if I could set this setting so that it never prompted me again.

Additionally, when opening a script without having opened DataGrip already, I see that it loads a blank project which doesn't have any of my data sources. Is there any way to configure a default project that opens with every script that's opened? I have many connections that I want to be used by any script that I open.

When you launch DataGrip by clicking on the file - IDE created project in the folder where the file is located. But you can move configured existing Data sources to Grlobal (IDE-wide level) configuration, so that they are available in any project:
