Non-animated Main Menu in Fullscreen Mode (Windows)

Answered

Hi all,

is there a way in IntelliJ IDEA to NOT auto-hide the main menu in fullscreen mode?

On MS Windows 7, when I switch to fullscreen mode, the main menu automatically switches to "auto-hide", i.e. it appears only if I  move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen. Looking at the "Settings", there doesn't seem a possibility to change this behavior such that the main menu bar sits on top of the screen persistently. Is there a way to achieve this?

For me, it's quite essential to be able to have the main menu bar NOT to be triggered by the mouse pointer reaching the top of the screen, because I have to use the IDE via a Citrix remote session from a Mac OS X computer, and the Citrix client on Mac OS, when running in Mac fullscreen mode, also auto-hides its own menu bar, so when I move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen, the menu bars of the Mac OS desktop immediately overlaps that of IDEA...
