CLion and Chromium Embedded Framework

I'm right now investigating if CLion might be a good solution for the development process of my phantomjs-cef project (https://github.com/aknuth/phantomjs-cef). The base of it is the Chromium Embedded Framework (https://bitbucket.org/chromiumembedded/). This one is CMake based and the import into CLion run smoothly.

Starting the cefclient executable in "RUN MODE" works out the box from the IDE but "Debug MODE" does not come up neither with breakpoints nor without them.

Does anyone tried to work successfully with Chromium Embedded Framework inside CLion ?

Cheers,

Andreas

Hi Andreas!

Could you please take a screencast of your problem?

Also I have some configuration issues with the framework since it's not pure CMake and require some extra generation steps and additional resources. Does it need to have chromium sources cloned on machine? Thanx.

Hi Maria,

thanks for your reply. I first wanted to concentrate on the cefclient sample application - this one is pure cmake, i guess.

1. Download a binary distribution from https://cefbuilds.com/ -> I took the actual Branch 2704

2. unpack and import the project (cef_binary_3.2704.1402.g6ab51a4_linux64) and don't overwrite the existing CMakeList.txt

3. In 'Edit configurations' choose 'Debug' and build the project

4. Run 'cefclient' - work like a charme

5. Debug 'cefclient' - nothing happened :-(

If you need further informations, please let me know.

Cheers,

Andreas
