IntelliJ: debugging actionscript and javascript at the same time

According to IntelliJ docs actionscript debugging is supported. Javascript is obviously supported as well, but AFAIK it's server side js (e.g. nodejs) that's supported.

Question: is it possible to debug actionscript and javascript at the same time? E.g. if I debug swf (actionscript) on a web page and that swf communicates with javascript on that page, can I debug across actionscript and js on that page? Is something like that supported?

Visual studio supports debugging multiple languages at the same time, can intelliJ do the same?

Hi there,

I'm not going to answer about ActionScript .. but in general it should be possible. For example: with PhpStorm you can debug PHP and JavaScript code at the same time (it's a bit different bit still...): https://confluence.jetbrains.com/display/PhpStorm/Debugging+PHP+and+JavaScript+code+at+the+same+time+in+PhpStorm

no, it's not true. Both client- and server-side debugging are supported. You just need creating a JavaScript Debug run configuration for your JS app - see https://confluence.jetbrains.com/display/WI/Starting+a+JavaScript+debug+session
