Unable to change cursor style in terminal after a recent update
I have always used the vertical cursor style but after a recent update no matter how many times I change the cursor style from the preferences menu, it always changes back to a block cursor when opening up a new terminal or restarting Goland. Please help me with this problem.

Thank you for your report. Indeed, this is a known problem raised here - https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IJPL-160291 . The good news is that a fix for it has already been implemented and we plan to release it in one of the upcoming versions of our IDE. I'd suggest you follow the issue mentioned above to get updated once this happens.
In the meantime, you can also try using our EAP version where this has already been implemented - https://www.jetbrains.com/go/nextversion/ .
