GitHub connection error

I have several PyCharm projects that are already connected to GitHub. However I when I try to connect a new project using “Share project on Github” I get the error shown in this image:

If I close this project and switch to one of my other projects, the GitHub connection works fine. What am I doing wrong?

I am using PyCharm 2024.1.1 Community Edition, on Windows 10.
