Issue with JetBrains Student License Application

Answered

I am a computer science student and have been attempting to apply for a free JetBrains student license. However, I’ve encountered several issues during the process.

When I try to apply using my university email address, I receive the following message:

"We cannot grant you a free license at the moment. This may be because:

  • We are unable to determine whether someone with an email address in this domain is a student.
  • This email domain belongs to an organization that is individually targeted by, or is incorporated in territories subject to, applicable EU, UN, or US sanctions or certain export control restrictions.
If you are a student at this school and believe that you are not subject to any of these sanctions, please apply with an official document."

I then tried applying with an official document, but I was informed that the process has changed in my region and was redirected to apply through GitHub using the Student Developer Pack. I do have the Student Developer Pack in GitHub, but when I attempt to use it, I receive another error message stating that my email address is blocked and that I should use another email address.

I would appreciate your guidance on how to resolve this issue, as I am in need of the student license for my coursework. Is there any way to verify my student status or provide additional documentation to assist with this?

Thank you for your time and support.

Hello Jayvee,

Thank you for reaching out to us. We would be happy to help you to solve your issue, and will just need a little more info. Please send me your university email address, your GitHub username, a screenshot of your GitHub profile and any officially issued document in the PDF format with your full name and confirmation of your current student status in 2024/2025 academic year for validation of your JetBrains account ownership and eligibility.
After getting this documentation I'll be able to see what was going wrong in order to help you.
Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you.
