2024.3 Branch name on the Welcome screen

In the Whats New description of the 2024.3 release there is a part regarding branch names on the welcome screen:
Branch name on the Welcome screen
The Welcome screen now shows the branch name, helping you stay organized when handling multiple project versions and allowing you to easily switch between working directories.
However i cant see them anywhere and i cant find any option to enable this if it is disabled by default?

Branch name is displayed on Welcome screen and in Recent Projects, for projects with the same name.
Shame… I would like to have this on all the time, but oh well…
We had similar feedback from more users. I've shared it with the team. We will definitely consider improving it. Thanks for the feedback.
