PyCharm feedback: Sub-optimal screen usage (empty bars)

Hi!

I am generally a quite happy user of PyCharm. I just have a comment on the way PyCharm 2024.2.4 uses the screen:

I have inserted a narrow horizontal screen shot below. My comment is that there is a lot of empty space here. Maybe the 2 bars could be merged into 1 bar?:
