Webstorm - Missing "Show History for Method" in Git Context Menu
Answered
Hi there! I just noticed that Webstorm does not appear to have the same Git options in the Context Menu as in IntelliJ. Is it possible that the “Show History for Method” is missing in Webstorm?

As you can see - IntelliJ seems to toggle between “Show History for Method” and “Show History for Selection” - but Webstorm doesn't.
I am using the following versions:

Hi,
It's only available for Java language.
However, this feature is not needed as History for Selection will do the same when selecting Method only.
Hi,
It is fair to say that there is a workaround by selecting the block of code and using that menu option. I now assume that the Java option “Show Option for Method …” may in fact be a convenience method that does just this!
Please can this feature be considered for future builds, as I would value it and use it. If it also does not exist in Pycharm, Rider etc. - there may be others that would appreciate the convenience method too.
But either way, the workaround of using “Show History for Selection …” will help, thanks!
Hi,
Thanks for the feedback.
Unfortunately, I do not think it will be added as “Show history for selection” does exactly the same action.
There is not difference between using this particular action and Show history for selection.
