webstorm 2024 intermittent freezing

I have been seeing freezing on macbook m2 pro for a number of months with `2024.x` builds.

When it happens its like the application is locked and is in an unresponsive state, the rendered window does not change. It happens for maybe for a minute or so then usually becomes responsive again.

The times it happens didn't seem to have a pattern, sometimes copy pasting, sometimes starting the NodeJS debugger sometimes when just regular text editing, so hard to write an issue for.

I tried disabling a bunch of the non bundled plugins that didn't help.

Going back to 2023.3.8 and no freezing so far. Hopefully someone can produce some detail for an issue, the 2024.x builds have features I want to use.

Anyone know of any widespread issue that would explain this behaviour?
