PyCharm lagging/studdering
I have asked about this numerous times and with each new version it seems to never get fixed. What is it that is causing PyCharm to studder? what is it doing where I am not able to do anything for seconds on end. No mouse movement in the app, no key input. it just freezes for a few seconds. It is extremely annoying.
It's not my machine. I have a ThreadRipperPro with 16 cores running at 4.2GHZ (32 threads), 128GB of RAM using an NVMe. It did this on my old computer as well. It's PyCharm not my hardware. It's infuriating. Pycharm is consuming 12GB of memory on top of it!!! I can close and reopen the exact same project and it's using only 1.5GB of memory. There is a massive memory leak because that 12GB is actually in use, it's not that PyCharm is not releasing it back to the OS.
There are always errors in the error log, I can do a fresh brand new installation with zero plugins and after a while of using PyCharm that way all of a sudden errors some popping up in the log.
I really do not understand as to why it is like this. They keep on adding new features but they never seem to fix the things that are broken. Those new features end up introducing more problems… The problems need to be fixed before adding new features that are going to add more bugs and glitches.
