How to convert an editor tab to a tool window?

How do i move editor tabs (a diagram tab here, for example) to the tool window sidebar?

The goal here is to have 3 separate vertical sections: 
1. File/DB Exploration: File view (File tool window), DB details view (DB tool window), Schema view (A schema diagram)
2. Code: .sql file tabs and/or terminal tabs
3. Output: Data output and logs (Services tool window)
