Replace box in Search/Replace not allowing the asterisk character "*"

Trying to replace “count()” with "count(*)" - it just wont allow the asterisk.

(actually both boxes don't)

Either that or my keyboard is seriously haunted

Hi,

Are you using the regex or normal mode? If the first, please switch to normal(see screenshot) by clicking on the dot asterisk icon, and try again

I cannot show something that does NOT happen.: Search/Replace boxes do NOT respond to my entering this - either mode:  “***********************************************************************************************************************

Okay, so the field is not responding when using search n replace. Are you experiencing any UI lags when this happens? You can upload the logs if you want us to investigate it https://uploads.jetbrains.com/

I'd encourage try to upgrade your IDE first, though.

No, we tested it and could not catch the behavior you described. We are therefore suggesting to collect logs for our analysis. We'll take it from there.
