Hi Pittsburgh Dev
Could you please let me know if there's some error shown and attach a screenshot of it.
Please try uninstalling and reinstalling, this could be related to JBR-6655.
If that doesn't help run via terminal per https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011901879-How-to-start-IDE-from-the-command-line and provide the output.
Also, attach the IDE logs - how to find it please see https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207241085-Locating-IDE-log-files or https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/2023.3/directories-used-by-the-ide-to-store-settings-caches-plugins-and-logs.html#nt5w2s_198
Please do the test en let me know if that helps.
The most likely reason your new version of IntelliJ IDEA won't open on your MacBook Pro is a conflict with old settings or a corrupted installation specific to the M2 chip. To fix this, perform a clean reinstallation by first deleting the application and then manually removing the residual fmc4me configuration folder for that version located in `~/Library/Application Support/JetBrains/` before downloading and installing a fresh copy of the correct Apple Silicon version of the IDE.
