WSL2 Virtual Environment not being activated automatically in terminal

I have a conda environment set up in my PyCharm IDE in WSL2 and running scripts will run using my conda environment however I noticed upon creating new terminal sessions the environment isn't automatically activated when the terminal is created like how it does in Windows. How can I fix this? I have activate virtualenv enabled in settings → tools → Terminal but still not working. Please help as I don't want to manually have to keep reactivating my virtual environment every time I launch a new terminal session.

I am using WSL2 Ubuntu 24.04 version as well. My main PC is Windows 11 Home.
