AI Assistant not recognizing Mistral key

I've been able to setup my keys for Anthropic and OpenAI in AI Assistant, but the AI Assistant isn't recognizing my environment or file based keys for Mistral or allowing me to install the key from the AI Assistant interface. Running on Windows. I can run Mistral from the command line without issues but not from AI Assistant. Also note that Mistral isn't available in the drop down in Settings. Any ideas?

Hi, Thank you for reaching out. Mistral is not currently supported as a built-in AI model in JetBrains AI Assistant, which is why it does not appear in the settings dropdown and its keys are not recognized through the standard provider configuration. You can follow the feature request for agging Mistral support here: LLM-16940.
While direct BYOK support for Mistral is not available, JetBrains AI Assistant supports external AI agents via the Agent Client Protocol (ACP). There is a Mistral Vibe agent in the ACP registry, but there are known issues with its installation and initialization on Windows, as detailed in LLM-26804.
