AI Assistant credit usage dashboard or tracker.

Hello Everyone,

I've just opened this account to post about this. I'll start with some background for a bit of context, then i'll get to my point towards the end.

I've been using the AI assistant for months. I've normally never used all the credits. Its all so common that I would end the billing cycle with 30, or 28 credits out of 35. It has been this way even when using models that consume more, like Gemini 3.1 pro preview, Claude, etc. I remember in March 2026, I was 2 days aways from the next renewal and the balance was around 30 or so. And I tried to do a lot just to consume it and I wasn't able to finish it all off. I created from scratch an entire dashboard for my services, with authentication, all CRUD operations for different models, it had multiple modules like banner image generations, content moderation, articles, announcements & template managements, and a bunch of other use cases, it wasn't just a simple dashboard it was packed! And even with this, I was still not able to get the credits under 20 before the next renewal.

In April 2026 I really used it. Especially the more expensive models to create text compression algorithms that outdid their predecessors and benchmark them, and other documentation use cases, etc. I was able to use more than 85% of the credits, mostly because I just wanted to use them for the sake of using them. Now, my credits renewed to 35 on May 1st 2026 and by 4th May 2026 they were still around 33.86 as seen in the screenshot. I was shocked that by May 5th 2026, I'm sitting at around 25.xx credits and by now I'm at 24.95. I did use the plugin for some light work, but it was no where near the amount of heavy use I did before that consumed more than 8-9 credits per day when I was actively using the expensive model for the sake of consumption. It has me wondering, why is the consumption so much higher now while I'm using the default Gemini Flash model? Is there a way to track our usage with like a chart or a dashboard? Just something to track where these credits are going?

To the JetBrains team, please consider adding a way for us to track this usage, similar to what google is doing in AI Studio etc. This way, we can at least have a sense of what time the usage was higher, and track what we were doing at the time and see if it checks out. Currently this feels like a steal to be honest. I feel like, since I used all my credits in the past month, I've been put on a different hidden tier where the credit consumption is much higher. Because I can't explain or reconcile how I've used this much within 24 hours.

Thanks.

A usage dashboard would definitely be useful here. If your credit balance dropped significantly despite lighter usage, it's reasonable to ask for more transparency. I'd suggest opening a support ticket with your screenshots and dates so JetBrains can investigate the actual credit consumption. Hopefully they add detailed usage tracking in the future.
