sorry for the delay. I didn't manage to reproduce it with the latest RubyMine 2018.1 EAP version, have you tried it? If the problem persists, could you please provide a screenshot from Settings | Editor | Code Style | Ruby (of all the tabs).

I just deleted RubyMine and its config files and reinstalled it, fixing this problem before.
I guess it is because the EAP version used the config files of 2017.3.
