Ctrl-C behavior in local terminal vs ssh terminal

Can someone please confirm what is the expected behavior of Ctrl-C in local terminal. When in an ssh terminal and there is no text selected, Ctrl-C just cleares if you have anything typed and starts in the new line. However, in the local terminal (Windows), it does nothing (using cmd.exe) or it adds ^C (using powershell.exe).

I am used to having it clear anything I typed and it's a bit frustrating when it doesn't do that in the local terminal.

I did a bit of searching in here and I found posts that say it was fixed, but not quite sure.

I tried it on the latest stable version and latest EAP version (2018.1)

Thank you

There are some issues with it, e.g.: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-168006https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-171140.

So unfortuantely the behavior you've described isn't expected.

Same issue for me using WebStorm 2018.2 and powershell.
