Every word being highlighted
I've accidentally hit a hotkey that turned on some feature that appears to highlight every word. I don't know what feature it is or why it's happening, or the hotkey I pressed.
Tried closing and reopening, but the highlighting persists. Can anyone suggest settings I can try tweaking to figure out what it's doing?

Looks like spell checker warnings.. Please hover over the highlighted word - can you see any tooltips?
Thanks for your suggestion! No tooltips I'm afraid, asides from the lightbulb, nothing else appears.You're right though, it does look like the highlighing the spell checker would do.
Try disabling Spelling | Typo in Settings | Editor | Inspections - does it help?
Thanks for the suggestion. Fraid that had no effect. I think I've found the problem though, Editor -> color schemes -> xml -> xml tag data was set to have a background color and when I unticked it it disappeared from my html document. Didn't even know xml color options spilled into html, nor how pressing hotkeys could have effected it. But while how it happened may remain a mystery, it does seem to be resolved.

Yes, HTML text highlighting is defined in xml -> xml tag data; there are no shortcuts that might change it though
You should have mentioned what highlighting you had in mind; it was not clear at all that you were talking about background colors and not underwaving
Fair point. Fraid I didn't even see the underwaving till you mentioned it just now. So used to it, I never really notice it's there.
