How to change color / font of project tree pycharm 2017

Answered

Good day! Is there is any way to change a color of the font in project bar? Just want to make it brighter! Made entirely custom theme, but can't find where can change color for it~

Hello,

You could configure it in "Settings | Version Control | File Status Colors" and change color for "Up to date" item.

That is kind of crazy but it is great that it exists. Well, crazy because that is clearly General GUI setting. Never ever you could think it as version control setting. I don't  know how big mess your GUI setting scheme is but it would further help to promote the product a lot to make simple dual paradigma GUI Colors/Editor Colors. GUI is menus, project trees and consoles and build outputs. Editor is passive situation where you edit text and it has not running context from users point of view. I take you have new guys there and they have no clue what is version control. Project tree setting cannot belong to version control by any means but that you have been able to make it work means that the underlying design is possible to make work. Remember that this coloring scheme possibility is the key reason why many programmers like me turn to use Intellij instead of Eclipse.( Eclipse has knotted it self into twister champion position) Peaceful coloring scheme has direct property of make longer days of work possible. So please make it happen in one logical place instead of shotgunning it blindly around...BTW I get the version control reasoning but it is must be further in abstraction leaves....not in first level like missing basic setting would be.
