Pycharm community 2017 sometimess freezes when opening project

My Pycharm occasionally freezes when I am chaning project. It starts up as usual. Then I click open project because I want to open project that is not on recent projects lists. Then it freezes like in the picture and never unfreezes (didnt wait more than 15 minutes). The same will happen If I click new project and then try to change a directory (the same window opens).

Except from that I didnt have any problems with PyCharm, I can open one of the recent project or create new project in the default directory and it works fine.

I tried invalidate caches and restart, no success. Right there is literally no way for me to open some existing project in PyCharm (that is not on recent projects list).

Any help would be really appreciated.

Ubuntu 16.04. Pycharm community 2017.2.4
