[Remote] Project template

Good morning

I setup a project template  using <projectTemplate> tag and with a zip file in resources/projectTemplates/ directory. that’s OK.
But would it possible to have the same functionality with a project template located on a (remote) repository ?
I know that it possible to download zip file into, for example on macOS, in ~/Library/Preferences/<product_system_name><product_version>/projectTemplates/, but in such case project template will appear as User-defined project type which is not exactly what I want
