Why Are Projects Opening In The Background?

When I have a project open and then open another project in a new window it opens the project window in the background and leaves my current project with the focus instead of giving focus to the new project.

I am using KDE. Are you able to reproduce this in Windows/Mac?

Wow! This issue sure is annoying a lot of people!

I can't think of a single (other) application that when I click "open file" it opens it and sends it to the background.
